Tech Advances for 2022: A Robotic, Refrigerated Cart to Help Around the Home

The annual CES – the Consumer Electronics Show – was held earlier this year in Las Vegas, and alongside the new electronic toys and fancy EVs, there were plenty of products aimed at easing the lives of seniors, people with disabilities and the people who care for them.

This week we highlight the Retriever robotic assistive cart, from Labrador Systems. Designed to aid people with mobility issues around the home, the robotic cart includes multiple retractable shelves, power ports, and eventually a refrigerator, all on a self-propelled smart cart. The cart can be controlled both by and app or voice commands, going from room to perform tasks like distributing food or meds, or even just helping to carry items around the home.

Labrador Systems hopes to have the Retriever in stores in the second half of 2023.
